Grandparent’s Day 2017
Preschool grandparents joined us in our classroom to observe our circle time which included our job board, calendar, weather, Prayer bear, and our Bible Truth. We shared some songs and a dance before enjoying a snack of juice and muffins provided by preschool parents. We played a couple of games of Dr. Seuss bingo and the children delivered hand made gifts. We ended our mornings by visiting the Usborne book fair.
The grandparents arrived, grabbed their name tags with their grandchild(ren)’s picture(s) on them, and found a seat in the church; the children then joined them. There was a short devotion followed by a song/skit by the kindergartners, some songs by various groups of children, and some hand bell music. The families then followed a group schedule and moved throughout the school to various activities. These activities included Kinderbells, a family tree/interview, a magnetic frame craft, a photo booth, cake & beverages, along with the Usborne Book Fair.
The total number of grandparents that attended Thursday morning, Friday morning, and Friday afternoon was 165!
